So far since August we have played 11 games and won 7

In the Premiership we have scored only 7 tries
  • 4 In the backs
    • Benjamin
    • Pennall
    • Jones
    • Tuitoupu
  • 3 In the Fowards
    • Lutui
    • Mullan
    • Talie
Penalties
  • Jones 6
  • Chrichton 4
Conversions
  • Jones 3
  • Crichton 3
We have an 85% conversion rate for our tries

We have never yet put out our 1st 22

Overall not a bad set of figures, our biggest problem has been points conceded

Interesting stuff John!

Defensively we were doing ok until the last two GP games against Bath (5 tries) and then Harlequins (4 tries).  I read somewhere that either six or seven of those tries came from turnover ball...  A problem we suffered with badly up until Christmas last year.

If we can iradicate that, and get a few key fella's, currently injured, fit we should be considerably more competitive going forward.

I agree completely!

Yesterday at Swansea the team showed just how far we have come and what "potentialy" we are capable of. ( I will post up my thoughts later)

On stats I have a few more in relationship to our back 3 players as they were our main strike force during the 2nd half of last season

Garvey
  • 2007/8 - Played 19 scored 4 tries
  • 2008/9 - Played 0 injured
  • Strike rate 1 in 4.75 games
Benjamin
  • 2007/8 - Played 15 scored 9 tries
  • 2008/9 - Played 5 scored 1 try
  • Strike Rate 1 in 1.66 games
Gear
  • 2007/8 - Played 12 scored 5 tries
  • 2008/9 - Played 1 scored 0 tries
  • Strike rate 1 in 2.4 games
Pennall
  • 2007/8 - Played 12 score 0 tries
  • 2008/9 - Played 3 scored 1 try
Delport
  • 2007/8 - Played 20 scored 3 tries

If we cannot get the players onto the field and supply them with decent scoring chances we have a problem
